Archer API and AI integrations
How Archer’s API infrastructure works, enterprise API options, and upcoming AI integrations including MCP for connecting Archer data to Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI platforms.
Archer's API architecture
Archer's platform is built on APIs. Every feature in the web app and Excel Add-in communicates through Archer's API layer — from parsing documents to pulling comps to saving underwriting data. This API-first architecture means your data is structured, accessible, and ready for integration.
Current API access
Currently, Archer's APIs are private and power Archer's own products (the web app, the Excel Add-in, and internal tools). They are not publicly documented for direct client use.
However, Archer has the ability to build and provide custom APIs for enterprise clients. If your organization needs programmatic access to your Archer data — for example, to feed parsed financials into an internal data warehouse, connect underwriting outputs to a portfolio management system, or pull comp data into custom dashboards — we can work with you to design an integration.
Archer can also tap into other APIs to ingest select data, enabling two-way data flows between Archer and your existing tech stack.
What's coming: public APIs and AI integrations
Archer is actively developing more public APIs with full documentation. This will make it easier for clients to build their own integrations without needing custom development work from Archer's team.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration. Archer is building an MCP connector that will allow clients to connect their Archer data directly to AI platforms like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLMs and AI agents. MCP is an open standard that lets AI tools access external data sources in a structured, secure way.
What this means in practice: once the MCP integration is live, you'll be able to ask your AI assistant questions like "What's the average rent comp for 2BR units in Nashville from my last 10 deals?" or "Compare the expense ratios across my Q1 underwriting pipeline" — and it will pull the answer directly from your Archer data.
This unlocks the AI-ready data that Archer generates, structures, and stores during every parse and underwrite. Your comps, your financials, your pipeline — all accessible to the AI tools your team is already using.
