Managing team access: adding and removing users
How to add teammates to your Archer account, what permissions they have, and how to remove users.
Adding a user
Users cannot currently add teammates directly. To add a user, email your Archer contact (Laura or the onboarding team) with:
- First name and last name
- Email address (company email preferred)
- Role / title
- Expected usage level (daily underwriting? occasional visibility? admin only?)
The usage level helps the CS team monitor adoption appropriately — a daily user who hasn't logged in for two weeks gets a check-in; a visibility-only user who logs in monthly is fine.
New users receive a login email with a magic link. No password setup needed.
What new users can do
All users on an account share the same data — properties, underwrites, comps, and pipeline. There are no permission levels currently; every user can parse, underwrite, and modify pipeline data.
Removing a user
Email your Archer contact and they'll deactivate the account. Deactivated users can no longer log in, but their historical work (parses, underwrites, pipeline changes) is preserved.
Tip for larger teams
Designate 2-3 "super users" who get trained first. Once they're comfortable, they can onboard new teammates internally using Archer's knowledge base and the Gong recordings from your onboarding sessions. This scales better than having every new hire go through a separate onboarding process with Archer.
